Escuelita families donate to help Puerto Rico
Escuelita kids presented a gallery walk to raise funds to assist with the relief efforts in Puerto Rico. The current module is Cuando sea grande... , a study of community helpers. They used puppets and posters to showcase their work about what they want to be when they grow up. As they build a sense of community, it is important to reflect upon service to others. Thus, emerged the idea of supporting families in need in devastated Puerto Rico. The Escuelita kids had many questions and expressed solitary and empathy. And their hard work paid off, with families donating more than $400 to the Hispanic Federation’s UNIDOS campaign for Puerto Rico.
¡Bién hecho, mis niños queridos!
