'Tis the season for español. What better context than la celebración del Día de los muertos and the migration of las mariposas monarcas to discover so much culture and science and create amazing art! To celebrate el Día de los muertos, Escuelita kids painted calavera marshmallows and enjoyed a traditional la ofrenda with chocolate y pan de muertos. There is so much to learn about las mariposas monarcas en México: their anatomy, life cycle, flight pattern, and habitat. The Escuelita kids wrote simple poems about and painted unique butterflies. They have learned songs and can narrate the stage of la mariposa as she passes through her life cycle. ¡Qué viva el español!
